Visiting Scholar: Dr Linda Monsees at QMUL

Dr. Linda Monsees is visiting scholar at the School of Politics and International Relations, Queen Mary University of London, in September and October 2018. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Goethe University Frankfurt at the Cluster of Excellence ‘Normative Orders’. Her research focuses on networked technology, international security and the future of democracy. In her PhD-thesis she has researched digital encryption and examined how this technology is politicised. At SPIR, she will continue her work in International Political Sociology on new forms of ‘publicness’ in the context of contentious security technology.
