Short Workshop Report: Doing International Political Sociology

‘Doing IPS’ organised a cafe-style workshop in University of London Institute in Paris, on 22 February 2018. In this one-day workshop, 25 researchers from variant fields, encompassing international relations, politics, sociology, geography, anthropology, law, and social policy, and variant European institutions, discussed the convergences and divergences between different idioms within IPS. Over the cafe tables, early career researchers presented their works and discussed the overlaps and tensions between them. Finally, the day was concluded with a panel chaired by Professor Jef Huysmans, and including papers by Professor Engin Isin, Professor Phillipe Bonditti, and Dr Ellie Knott.
